Initially, I was sceptical about buying the radial master cylinder for my Bajaj RS200 wondering whether it would be a worthy upgrade. But, the stock master cylinder on the RS was just so pathetic that I had to use three fingers to brake. But, even that was not sufficient at times and the the presence of ABS meant that braking feedback was incredibly lacking. I knew that RCB was a well known motorcycle aftermarket parts manufacturer and that they supplied parts for Moto GP as well. Also, in the official RCB website, LRL motors was listed as an official seller for India. Hence, after much research, I decided to upgrade to the RCB radial master cylinder and I must say, it was worth it!! I'm blown away by how good the RCB radial master cylinder performs. The feel and feedback is excellent. Helluva lot better than stock master cylinder. The braking force is also excellent and more importantly, it is CONSISTENTLY excellent. Whereas with the stock master cylinder, it was hit and miss. On long rides, the stock master cylinder would just fail to maintain braking pressure. RCB master cylinder is so good in fact that I now perform one finger braking at places! And, because my motorcycles has ABS (Single Channel), I can go hard on braking (using full braking pressure) without the front wheel locking. So, even though ABS robs a bit of brake feel, it is still better than stock master cylinder. In conclusion, after riding motorcycles for almost 10 years, I've never had a braking system perform this good till now and I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking to upgrade their braking system. P.S: I'm running the RCB master cylinder with VESRAH Ceramic brake pads (front) and LIQUI MOLY Dot 5.1 Brake fluid.
I bought this master brake pump after watching a few reviews of it on YouTube. I own a TVS Apache RTR 200 4v ABS version and have always wanted a bit more feel from the front brake. The bike would stop no doubt, but the feel of the brake wasn't getting transmitted to the lever as much as I'd have liked. I wanted to take a chance with this product and see how it is. The product is made of lightweight aluminium and is lightweight and solid. The product came with the following: - 14mm radial brake pump - brake fluid reservoir - regular banjo bolt with copper washers - hydraulic brake switch I was able to carry out the fitment by myself and it was straightforward. Remove the rear view mirror, the OE banjo bolt connecting the brake line to the OE master cylinder and swap it out. Thanks to the hydraulic switch, I could connect the stock front brake light to the switch and get the brake light functionality back. I also did a brake fluid flush with Liqui Moly 5.1 fluid. The brake reservoir is a clear type one, so you can observe not only the brake fluid level, but also the colour change as it gradually absorbs moisture. Brake fluids are hygroscopic and hence it is important you change brake fluids at least once a year. After the swap, I immediately noticed a much firmer feel at the front brake. The ABS still robs of some of the feel, but given this is a road bike, I'd rather keep the ABS. If you seek a much stronger feel at the brake lever, you should definitely consider this upgrade. Considering the price, I feel this is a worthwhile investment to improve the feel of the brakes and overall safety.
Installed on my V3, Effortless braking experience.
Really good result from RCB master pump. Effortless braking experience, no hesitation with the fingers. Butter touch braking. Really enjoying the ride now.
Very smooth braking, good response from brake all the time.
