Brass-plated finish

Rolon’s catalogue distinguishes brass-plated kits from regular kits. “Brass” describes the finish; it does not mean a solid-brass chain.

The seal type

O-ring, X-ring and other chain designs are application-specific. Do not assume every brass-listed kit uses the same seal.

A matched set

Check the chain and both sprockets together. Pitch, link count, teeth and mounting details must match your exact application.

Is the chain made entirely of brass?

No. The range uses brass-plated or brass-coated chain terminology. The gold-coloured finish is not a claim that the chain is solid brass. Confirm the precise construction and specification for the chosen kit.

Does every brass kit have an X-ring chain?

No. Seal types differ between kits. This page only shows a seal type when the product listing states it explicitly; a brass finish alone does not establish O-ring, X-ring or another design.

What is included in a chain and sprocket kit?

The chain-kit listings generally describe a chain, front sprocket and rear sprocket. Check the exact product page for the supplied contents and reference. Chain lube is a separate item.

Will the same kit fit every year of my model?

Do not assume that it will. Model generations, gearing, brake versions and mounting can differ. Match your motorcycle to the exact manufacturer application.

Why are other kits and chain lube shown here?

They are already part of this collection. Standard Rolon kits, a Diamond-brand kit and chain lube are kept in separate categories so they are not mistaken for brass-listed Rolon kits.
