Ask about fitmentHow do I choose the correct filter?
Use the product title as a starting point, then check your exact model, year, airbox and BMC part number. Search BMC’s official catalogue by reference or ask LRL before ordering. Filters are not interchangeable just because the bikes have similar engine sizes.
Are Standard and Race filters the same?
No. Check the exact version and intended use. BMC’s FAQ recommends Race filters for track use and notes that engine calibration may need adjustment. Read BMC’s Standard/Race guidance before choosing a Race listing.
How often should I clean my BMC filter?
It depends on riding conditions and filter condition. Follow BMC’s inspection, washing, drying and oiling instructions. Dusty conditions can call for more frequent attention. Avoid excess oil and use the appropriate BMC regeneration products.
What does “universal” mean?
It describes the filter format, not guaranteed compatibility. Check flange dimensions, available space, intake layout and installation requirements. The induction kit is listed separately from model-specific motorcycle replacement filters.
Why are there car filters in this collection?
The existing BMC collection also includes car applications. They remain available under “Car filters” and “All products,” clearly separated from the motorcycle range.
Can I choose the Interceptor Performance Pack?
The Interceptor / GT 650 listing has separate filter-only and Performance Pack options. Availability and prices are different for each. Open the product page to check the option you want.
